Store Editor

Defaults and input types for the screen where you add and edit a location.

The default country and default opening hours only apply to new locations. Changing them has no effect on locations that already exist.

Default country
Pre-fills the country field when you create a location. On a single-country locator this saves a field on every entry.

Include online stores?
Adds the option to mark a location as online-only. An online location has no coordinates and no distance, so it is never returned by a proximity search — it is listed as a separate kind of result.

Use it for a web shop, a phone-only service, or a delivery-only branch that visitors should still be able to find.

Map type for the location preview – (Google Maps only)
The map type used for the small preview map in the editor, where you check that the geocoded coordinates landed in the right place. Roadmap, Satellite, Hybrid or Terrain.

Satellite is often the better choice here, because a rooftop is easier to verify than a street label.

Hide the opening hours?
Removes the opening hours from the editor and from the location pages. Use it when hours are irrelevant to what you are mapping — dealers, agents, collection points.

Opening hours input type
Dropdowns (recommended) — structured hours, which is what the open/closed status and the “open now” filter read.
Textarea — free text.

Textarea is only offered on sites that upgraded from v1. Hours created in v1 are stored as plain text and are not converted automatically; the Tools section has a converter that handles the ones it can parse.

Structured hours are what makes the current status in User Experience possible, so move off the textarea if you can.

The default opening hours
The opening hours pre-filled on each newly created location. Set these to whatever most of your locations do, and edit the exceptions.

Opening hours format
12 or 24 hour notation, used when displaying the hours.
