Diagnostics, caches and one-off jobs. Most of this section is for when something is wrong.
Settings migration
Shown when the v2 to v3 settings migration did not complete. Retry migration runs it again.
Worth doing before you start re-entering settings by hand — a failed migration usually means one group could not be read, not that everything was lost.
Data management
Reset data deletes the plugin’s stored data. You are asked to confirm, and you choose what goes.
This cannot be undone without restoring a backup.
Enable store locator debug?
Turns off the transient cache so you always see live data.
The cache is only used when the “Load locations on page load” option is enabled, so on a locator that waits for a search this changes nothing. Turn it off again when you are done — it is a diagnostic tool and keeping it enabled will slow down the loading of the search results.
Disable v3 theme rules?
v3 ships extra CSS that resolves common conflicts between the locator and theme styles. Disable it if those rules break your theme instead of fix issues.
Try this first when the locator looks broken after upgrading to v3.
Enable compatibility mode?
Forcibly unloads other Google Maps scripts on the page. Two copies of the Google Maps API running at once conflict and typically leave you with no map at all.
Enable this if the browser console says You have included the Google Maps API multiple times on this page.
Nominatim geocode cache
Clear cache empties the cached OpenStreetMap address lookups.
Nominatim asks that clients cache aggressively and keep request rates low, so this cache exists to keep you a good citizen of a free service. Clear it when a location’s coordinates are wrong and you have since corrected the address.
Autoload cache
Clear cache empties the cached results used by Load locations on page load.
The stored coordinates for the start location and any country restriction go with it, and are looked up again the next time the map loads. Clear this after a bulk import, or after changing the start location.
Show the Geocode API response for a location search
Runs a search through your current configuration and shows both the resulting map and the raw response from the geocoding service.
This is the single most useful thing on the page when searches are not working. The raw response distinguishes a key restriction, a billing problem, a country restriction and a genuinely unknown address — four causes with the same symptom.
Convert v1 opening hours
Locations created in v1 store their hours as plain text, which means no open/closed status and no “open now” filter. Review locations converts the ones it can read into the structured format.
It reads a day name followed by its times, one day per line, in 12 or 24 hour notation. Times with no AM/PM are too ambiguous to place and are left for you to fix by hand.
Only shown when legacy hours are actually present.
Setup wizard
Run again restarts the onboarding wizard — the guided pass through map service, API keys and a first location.
