If you’re unable to set the start point on the settings page because the whole field is greyed out or the start point field doesn’t autocomplete, you may be experiencing one of the following problems:
- You didn’t set an API Key on the settings page
- There is a problem with the used API keys
- A JavaScript error is triggered by another script breaking the autocomplete for the start point
- The Google Places API Web Service isn’t enabled
If the above links don’t help you solve the problem, then the last thing you can try is verifying your domain by going to the Google API Console > Credentials > Domain verification. There is not any information about this solution in the official documentation from Google, but some users have reported fixing the broken start point by doing this.
